Azuria#6 is now with the printers, and will be quietly launched next week. It will be posted to past contributors & supporters.

This edition contains an essays on Poland by Sue Littleton & one on St. Paul by Michael Victory, extracts from novels-in-progress by Catherine Hoffmann (Hungary) & Jura Reilly, and a short story by associate editor Justine Stella. The Poetry section includes a group of three poems by the noted Georgian poet Tamaz Chkhenkeli, and by others, as well as several reviews.

Extra copies will be available @ $20. I also have some spares of Azuria#5 available also @$20 each.

As every penny is precious, please indicate by return e-mail if you would like to receive 1 complimentary copy, providing your best postal address for the next few weeks.

I have also attached a copy of the call for submissions to Azuria#7, due out in early 2018, and whose theme will be Madonna. Circulate this notice widely & encourage your friends and colleagues to support this little literary journal.

Call for Submissions: Azuria #7: Madonna

Over the period June – November 2017, the editorial group will be collecting material for publication in Azuria#7 for publication in early 2018. The projected editorial theme is Madonna, which can be interpreted in any manner, & this issue will feature essays, short stories, photographs & poetry (English & LOTEs) by members of Geelong Writers inc. & other local, Australian & overseas writers & artists.

Submissions should be sent by e-mail at tedreilly100@hotmail.com with the annotation “Submission_Surname_Azuria#7” in the subject line. Please attach work as an MSWORD *.doc or *.docx file: any images should be set in JPG format.

Address the e-mail to: The Editorial Group / Azuria / Geelong Writers inc., including a concise 50 – 70 word literary biography, along with contact and postal information in the body of the e-mail.


As GW is a voluntary organization, our funds are very limited & so payment will be in the form of 1 copy per contributor.
