In the silence of night, violent
thunderclap derails your thought
yet calls you over one
mountain range after another
searching for your red lantern
if to find the path you missed
somewhere farther back
under banality pleats
yet if you start your sweet melody
in a duo with the chickadee’s
if you start your song again
perhaps this time
you will be able to complete
composing the sonata, the finale
and stop your furious flight
